Laurita Oleinikova is a Lithuanian jazz singer, composer, and educator. After completing her initial music studies in Lithuania she moved to the Netherlands in 2016 to pursue her career and study in Conservatorium van Amsterdam where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
As a performer, Laurita has collaborated with many well-known musicians in the Netherlands and leads her own quartet, where she showcases her original compositions. Her music is warm and personal, with lyrics often hidden behind the lines. Constantly pushing her creative boundaries, she embraces diverse musical influences and challenges herself artistically.
Laurita’s attention to detail is evident not only in her performances but also in her work as an educator. Her teaching journey began as a substitute teacher across the Netherlands. In 2022 she became a faculty member at the Stasys Simkus Conservatory in Klaipeda, Lithuania. Later continued teaching at a private music school in The Hague and now she’s bringing her experience to Muziekacademie.
In her teaching, Laurita is deeply committed to guiding students in discovering and cultivating their unique vocal identity. Her approach is highly individualized, using targeted vocal exercises to explore different aspects of the voice and bring each student’s favorite songs to life. She firmly believes that everyone has the potential to sing—with the right guidance and dedicated effort, anyone can find their voice.
