Davor Stehlik

Davor was born and raised in Serbia and since 2017 he has been based in Amsterdam where he finished his master degree for jazz guitar at Conservatorium van Amsterdam and afterwards decided to stay in the Netherlands. Since then he has been playing and recording with different bands as a sideman and as a leader with his own quartet. He played in venues and festivals such as: Bimhuis, Lantarenvenster, Verkadefabriek Den Bosch, North sea jazz festival, So what’s next, TivoliVredenburg Utrecht, Amersfoort World Jazz Festival, De Tor, Theater Orpheus, Paradox, Grachtenfestival, Jazz in Duketown, Jazzfestival Generations, Singer Laren, Zeeland Jazz Festival, Enkhuizen Jazz Festival, Breda Jazz Festival etc. You can hear him on his debut album “Introducing” and as a sideman on albums of Lucas Santana 5tet, Gidon Nunes Vaz trio, Roaring Cats and others. Besides being a professional jazz guitarist, Davor has over 10 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels. He has taught privately and in schools, guiding students through a wide range of genres and helping some of them prepare for conservatory entrance exams across the Netherlands with high success. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, Davor’s approach focuses on building strong technical foundations while encouraging creativity and musical expression. The lessons are tailored to each student’s personal goals. The aim is to foster a love for music and provide the tools needed to take students to the next level in their playing.
