Mariam Chincharauli

Mariam Chincharauli is a Georgian pianist and fortepianist based in Amsterdam. Born in Tbilisi, she began her musical education at an early age and later completed a Master’s degree in Keyboard Instruments and Modern Piano at the V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire. She subsequently pursued postgraduate studies there, specializing in chamber music.
Mariam has performed as both a soloist and chamber musician and has participated in numerous festivals, competitions, and masterclasses. She received a diploma at the Città di Senigallia International Piano Competition in Ancona, Italy, and has taken part in masterclasses with renowned musicians including Vladimir Feltsman and Eliso Virsaladze. She has also collaborated with the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra and Georgian Sinfonietta.
Before moving to Amsterdam, Mariam worked as a lecturer and répétiteur at the V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire. During this period, her musical interests increasingly turned toward historically informed performance and the interpretation of music on period instruments.
In 2023, Mariam began her second Master’s degree at the Early Music Department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, studying fortepiano with Olga Pashchenko. Since then, she has performed recitals in the Netherlands and Italy and participated in masterclasses in Paris, including a performance on an 1806 Érard piano.
In June 2024, Mariam participated in a concert presented as part of the Holland Festival. She also recorded Beethoven’s sonatas for violin and piano on historical instruments as part of a project with Johannes Leertouwer. In July 2024, she received a Talent Award from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
Mariam continues to perform throughout Europe as a soloist and chamber musician, combining her background in modern piano with her passion for historically informed performance.
